Parking:
Parking
in Chicago downtown is costly. Since the activities
on Saturday will end in front of the Chinese Consulate,
it would save parking cost if just park your cars
near the Chinese Consulate in early Saturday morning.
Then take Red Line train at the cross section of State/Grand.
Go south and get off at Washington St. and then walk
to Daley Center.
Parking
near Chinese Consulate:
Do
not park at meters if you park your cars since morning.
1) A parking lot on Erie St (between LaSalle and Wells,
i.e., at the west side of LaSalle)
2) Parking lots if go south (2-4 blocks) along LaSalle
or Clark

O'Hare Airport to Chicago downtown:

Midway Airport to Chicago downtown:
Go
by train: Take CTA Orange line train (Clockwise) and
directly go to downtown. See downtown map to see which
station you need to get off. To go to Daley Center,
get off at WASHINGTON/WELLS. Fair $1.50.
Go
to Daley Center(Daley Plaza):
Daley
Center Address: 50 W Washington St., between Clark
and Dearborn.
Daley Center is right in downtown. All lines of trains
(subways) will take you there (see the downtown train
map at http://www.yourcta.com/maps/maps/F2001D.html
and http://www.yourcta.com/maps/rail/rail.html) and
try to get off the trains on Washington or Lake St.
and then just walk to Daley Center.
Parking:
There are parking garages nearby.
Toilets:
In nearby McDonalds (go north on Dearborn), Burger
King, and James Thompson Center (go north on Clark
and locates on Randolph).
From
Daily Center to Chinatown:
Chinatown
address: Wentworth St/Ave.
By
Red Line Train (Highly Recommended): Go to Washington/State
station (go east 1 block), then get on Red line (go
south, i.e., toward 95/Dan Ryan direction), and
get off at Cermak-Chinatown station. Then you see
Chinatown.
Train Fare: $1.50 to Chinatown and $1.50 from Chinatown
to Consulate. So just insert $3 to the pass vending
machine to get a pass for the whole trip. No refund
if put extra money. To save time, please try to buy
the pass at Washington/State station (more pass vending
machine in this station).
Parking at Chinatown:
a) The parking lot by Cermak-Chinatown Red Line Station
(Need to pay)
b) Parking meters (limited)
c) Along Wentworth (on the west side of Archer) (Free,
limited spaces)
From
Chinatown to Chinese Consulate:
Consulate address: 100 West Erie Street (between LaSalle
and Clark)
Train:
Red Line - Get on Red Line at Cermak-Chinatown station,
go north (toward Howard direction), get off at Grand
Ave. Then walk several blocks to Chinese consulate.
